CATS AS A SUBJECT OF ARTWORKS

I started drawing cats when I was studying Visual Arts in 2014: not only my real cats, but imaginary cats, minimal cats and my dogs. I usually draw my five cats from images taken during the video calls to Brazil. I illustrate cats I get in touch with in my daily life. My newest character is Gacto, a hibrid of cacto and cat. This this subject is elevant to artists such as Banksy, Warhol and Toulouse Lautrec for example and reached frontiers around the world. You can check out my Instagram stories to see a little bit of my

creative process and a few references about cats on Visual Arts. I highly reccomend you to read Desmond Morris’ book “I gatti nell’arte” and take a look at the amazing collection of artworks about cats at Getty Museum.

I’m so happy to share my creative artworks with you and hope you enjoy the prints and originals you get here. Keep tuned for the constant new creative artworks I’m working on.

A CAPPUCCINO IN MILAN IS ESSENTIAL TO GET THE DAY STARTED IN A GOOD MOOD. WHEN ART IS INSPIRED BY THE DIGITAL WORLD EVEN AN ANIMATED GIF CAN INTERACT WITH A DRAWING AND BECOME A #COFFELOVER. AS A VISUAL ARTIST I LOOK FOR INSIGHTS EVERYWHERE, IN EVERY SINGLE MOMENT, THING OR MOVEMENT.
